If you can’t find it out there, there’s a good chance you’re meant to be leading it
A long time ago, I remember a story of a little girl who always stood ahead of the pack, and spent most of her life up to a certain being vilified for it.
Who was too bright, too different, too threatening to the crucifying limitations held so dearly by so many other women. And quite frankly, greater than many of them in many ways; though they would rather have killed her than admit it.
These days, I teach my clients the art of “conscious forgetting” – deliberately choosing to forget the shitty stories of the past and focusing all attention on the desired narrative of a self-selected experience. Why bother to give your hard-earned power to what you do not want?*
I choose to believe in a world of profoundly secure, tight-knit sisterhood, where every woman’s fullness is a mighty gift to all of us. This is the paradigm I’ve dedicated my life to promoting, and a fire in my womb rises as I think about all the magnificent women on this planet: for whom my love burns fiercely.
(Curiously, as I type these sentences, I see the reflection of a literal fire behind me dancing across the screen of my laptop)
When the paradigm you yearn for isn’t obvious, it’s a sure sign that your life experience perfectly equips you to bring it about.
That there are gifts inside you, understandings, and qualities of character innate to who you are, that are vital keys to fulfilling a future you remember.
I use that statement pointedly. I truly believe that we are “remembering the future” into being, and that the more deliberately done, the more swiftly it comes about. Time is not linear as it appears, but circular.
Paradoxically, “forgetting” is part of “remembering”; and it’s a powerful act to choose to no longer remember what has caused you harm (while retaining its wisdom) and forge forwards from a stronger place.
Imagine with me, if you will, a paradigm of real sisterhood…
Where every woman is free to bring her full humanity; exquisite and imperfect.
Where each woman’s greatest giftedness is a healing balm to all of us.
Where your success is my success, your children; my children.
Where judgement is a concept that doesn’t exist, so complete is the regard for the divinity of the woman standing in front of you.
You see, though the programming of the world is strong, true sisterhood, too, is a choice.
A choice to be the bigger woman with the stronger character, to rise above the illusions of a world gone wrong, and to deliberately refuse to play any part in a reality that makes all of us smaller through its machinations.
When the option is there for lesser thoughts, choose differently. When a chance emerges to cut another woman down, don’t. When an opportunity presents itself to speak behind her back, simply negate to go there.
A character of true power is built through every thought, every word. It’s within your power to be the woman who IS better than the average. Give them a reason to hate you, if you must. All the while you rest peacefully in love, and permit it no consideration.
When you’re so busy being the love – unconditionally – there is no space to worry what other women think of you. When you fundamentally are the full acceptance for everyone, it matters not whether others accept you or not.
If you’re a woman for whom these words resonate: hold the field, set the tone, emanate the sisterhood you want. Create it for all of us to share in, and you’ll be surrounded only by others who can meet you. This is natural law, and the authentic power of a woman who has become herself.
And whatever your desired paradigm is, the same rules apply. You’re its source – don’t underestimate the impact of your presence.
*There are nuances here, and sometimes when trauma goes deep, it needs to be worked with to make this possible. All of this is part of what I address within my work.
